I aim for 1-2 hours. This is for me to get to know you and your family, for the kids to have time to get acquainted and comfortable with me being there.

This also gives time for the option of a couple of quick activities, or just one that you really love that occupies the entirety of the time.

(Mini sessions, 15-20 minutes, do not give me the right amount of time to get to know you and your family for how I best like to work!)

Normally, no, not often. I like to be more like an (invited) fly on the wall while in your home! I usually do end each session with a posed family photo on the couch or out front of your home while we’re saying our goodbyes but other than that, I really try to just be there to capture the natural life that lives in your home…as it plays out.

It could be just you and your spouse, add some kids or grandparents, even a neighbor or friend that feels like family.

There are no strict lines of what a family can be.

It’s the reality of whatever season you are currently living in, that I want to document for you.

There will be a time where you wish for the noise back again. I take it as it comes, and I love when my clients are open to this as well!

(I do offer one free reschedule if you are met with just the worst of days, because that’s also the reality some days)

Your home is where you live. It’s not just a house, and I want to give you and your kids photographs that show that.

It’s where you cook, sleep, play, laugh and fight. So much of a family’s life is lived in their own home, it deserves to be remembered, too. The books you have on the shelves, the dinnerware you used that year, the toys sprawled on the floor, and the artwork on the fridge.

Plus, kids are usually more comfortable in their own home.

Of course! With any of my sessions, you will receive full printing rights however, it may be easier for you to have me print and mail them to you!

The prints are done locally - in Louisville, KY - and would be dropped off to your doorstep (or mailed if not local).

Right now, I am available to families within a 3-hour radius of Louisville, KY for an additional travel fee dependent on mileage.

If you are farther away, keep an eye on my travel schedule posted to social media often. I offer travel fee free sessions to places I will already be traveling to.
