My friend, Billi Cate, and I were in Cabo photographing a wedding and she had gifted me with a sunset boat cruise with her the night before the wedding. While we boarded the towering sailboat, it became obvious how powerful the wind was that night. As we cruised around the bay, we rocked back and forth, back and forth. I must’ve been the only one to notice just how close to the surface of the water we got every time. Holding on for dear life at this point, I grabbed my camera. As we leaned toward the water, all of the food the crew was serving tossed into the sea, as well as any belongings that were loose. I held that camera tighter and tighter while holding on to the boat with my other hand. This moment was one of the more peaceful moments later in the cruise before we turned around to head back. A flight of birds passed by directly overhead singing their song and saying hello. This was the last photograph I took on the cruise.
