"Galilean Morning" - LIMITED RELEASE

$135.00

Taken on 35mm film at the Sea of Galilee, Israel - 2020.

16x20 printed on fine art paper at State Film Lab in Louisville, Kentucky.

Only 2 printed - when they’re gone, they’re gone.

—

It was the last morning of staying on the shore of the lake. I took advantage of the birds early waking song and put on my layers of socks and jackets and packed my backpack. I left my phone in my backpack pocket and kept my camera accessible. Walking down the dew covered path to the shore, the sun peaked over the mountains just behind the villa we were staying in. The colors morphed from one to multiple to then faded hues of every color possible. I sat on the cool hard stones covering the shore and reflected on what I had seen that far on the trip. Every sound seemed to be loud and gentle at the same time, while every movement of a wave or tiny animal seemed to be obvious and secretive. This photograph captured one of the most peace-filled moments I’ve experienced.
