We were walking through the art deco landings and viewpoints of Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. I happened to look up and see someone looking out at the 180 degree view of Los Angeles — from East and Downtown Los Angeles all the way to Santa Monica and the Pacific Ocean. I’m not sure what they were pointing at, or where they were from, or if they were seeing that view for the first time or the 100th time, but they were - in that moment - finding something worth their thought and attention. There’s always something new to take in.
